Coupons Available to Help Purchase Analog-to-Digital Television Converter Boxes
The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), is providing consumers $40 coupons to help offset the cost of buying a converter box. Consumers will need a converter box after February 17, 2009, if they do not have a digital television.
Butte-Silver Bow Urban Vegetation Control Enforcement begins April 4
Enforcement of the Vegetation Ordinance (No. 196 and Section 8.12.070 of the B-SB Municipal Code) begins on April 4. Landowners are given 10 days from the day of notice to conform with the ordinance. Failure to comply will result in B-SB scheduling the necessary remdiation of the week problem. The property owner is responsible for the payment of the remediation.

The governments of the city of Butte and Silver Bow County combined in 1977. The government is lead by the Chief Executive, Paul Babb and a 12-member Council of Commissioners.
Our business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. MDT, with no noon closure. Business offices are closed for State and Federal holidays.
Essential Public Works Services, (water, sewer, and road maintenance) are available 24 hours, seven days a week.

The function of the Butte-Silver Bow Government is to serve the citizens of the city of Butte and Silver Bow County. Our government's goal is to improve and maintain governmental operations and conditions within the boundaries of Silver Bow County.
