Have you ever asked yourself the question:
"I am here but where is here"?
The Department of Public Works takes great pride in repairing, replacing, and installing missing street signs. Frequently, signs are damaged or destroyed by automobiles, weather conditions, or vandals. We are asking all residents to help us; if you notice that a street sign is missing, faded or incorrect, please call Public Works at 497-6565.
The destruction or theft of traffic signs is a tremendous safety hazard. Some signs are essential for public safety, especially in rural areas where emergency responders depend on street signs for quick response. If a sign is being vandalized or stolen, please call the Police Department with any information about the crime at 497-1120 option 1.
There are signs all around us, by working together we can keep it that way.
