CANVASS AFFIDAVIT
SUBJECT: CORRECTION TO PCT. 13 NORTH
During the canvass of the Primary Election conducted on 6-10-08, the canvass board concurred with my recommendation to adjust the votes cast in Precinct 13N for the Commission District 12 race.
The Commission District 12 race had been inadvertently printed on the ballot for 13N, when in fact 13N is in Commission District 11.
After discussion with Janis Doggett, legal counsel to Secretary of State Brad Johnson and Lisa Kimmett, SOS Elections Deputy, who concurred that all votes cast in 13N for the six Commission District 12 candidates should be disallowed, the canvass board concurred and they are hereby deducted.
RESULTS: With the disallowed votes, there was absolutely no change to the ranking results of the six candidates. They finished as follows: 1) Dave Palmer; 2) Dan Dolan; 3) Linda Musick Rosin; 4) Gary Corbin; 5) Richard P. Wagner, and 6) Brian McGregor. Mr. Palmer and Mr. Dolan will advance to the General Election on November 4, 2008.
The canvass board consisted of Lori Maloney (D), Commissioner Glen Granger (I), Karen Cuthill (R), and Carol Vincent (R).
